A care home which looks after young people with learning disabilities and autism has expanded with the opening of a new room.
Westfield House, in Dereham, unveiled its extension at a special ceremony attended by George Freeman, MP for Mid Norfolk.
The facility was built over the course of six months and has been designed to give the residents extra space and promote independent living.
Part of the Black Swan Care Group, Westfield House is a 12-bedroom residential home for young people living with learning disabilities and autism.
Mr Freeman spent time interacting with residents and discussed with staff the challenges facing care homes - especially surrounding recruitment.
"It is a very specialist type of care that we provide here, and George was absolutely brilliant with our young people.
"We have got 12 residents here and it was essential they were given this extra space."
The new room has also been visited in recent days by Hugh King, the mayor of Dereham.
