Step back in time and enjoy a free ride on a vintage bus to celebrate a special event at a heritage railway.

Vintage Bus Day runs from 9am until 5pm on Sunday, May 14 2023 at the Mid-Norfolk Railway.

There will be around 30 modern and vintage buses and coaches on display at Dereham Railway Station.

Visitors will be able to travel in style with special free vintage bus rides on different routes between Dereham and Hardingham, with connections to trains, Dereham and County School and the local Dereham to Yaxham circular run.

Train services are normally provided by the vintage first-generation 1950s railcars and the second-generation 1980s Pacer trains, with more details and prices to be released nearer the time.

Due to the display of vehicles at Dereham station, there will be no parking on the day except for a limited number of spaces for blue badge holders.

Visitors will instead need to park at the Cherry Tree or Theatre Street car parks.
