A social club in Dereham is enjoying a more 'grounded' experience - it has a new floor.
Toftwood Social Club, in Shipdham Road, reopened its front bar at the start of the month following a month-long closure to improve its flooring.
The issue first started when they noticed the flooring in the bar - a former school room - was starting to rise in places it should not.
Contractors used 14.5 tonnes of concrete in building a new floor for the building. Upgrades to the seating area in the bar were also made.
The building was officially reopened by the mayor of Dereham, Hugh King, alongside Neil Hardy, chairman of the club.
Mr Hardy said: “We are delighted with it.
"It's very nice and it's great to be back up and running once again.
“We have a lot of great events this year planned, and this new bar area is a fantastic start to the year.”
The club has a pool table, BT Sports, a function room and a new corporate room for meetings or small events.
