Rachel Canham is feeling pumped after winning the title of England's Strongest Disabled Woman.
The Dereham woman took first place in the contest held in Manchester earlier in May.
This was the 38-year-old's first time competing at a national level in the disabled category.
She won all five rounds at the FitXpo event, which included the categories: Giant dumbbell, axe front hold, sandbag to shoulder, axle press, and atlas stones.
Ms Canham said she was surprised to have finished in first place.
She said: "I’d been struggling with some niggles so went into the event not at my very best, and was not expecting to do this well.
“But, on the day I managed to pull it out of the bag and do what needed to be done to secure the title.”
Ms Canham had previously competed at a national level as an able-bodied athlete before an injury that left her with grade-four osteoarthritis in the right knee.
This means she now suffers daily from severe pain and joint instability. She now uses mobility aids to carry on training.
Even though she can still walk, albeit painfully, medical evaluation by the governing body of the sport placed her in the 'seated class one category' which means she now competes as a seated athlete. This means she competes sitting on a bench with a strap for support, or in a wheelchair.
Ms Canham works as the operations manager for a software company.
She trains at Big Andy's Gym in Dereham and has recently moved from Norwich to the town to allow her better access to the gym.
After this win, Ms Canham is already eyeing up her next competition - which will be Britain's Strongest Disabled Woman in August.
She is also working to break the current seated deadlift world record.
