National Highways has been slammed for a lack of “common sense” after a poorly placed sign blocked the view of drivers entering a major road.
The blunder was noticed by motorists joining the A47 from Drayton Hall Lane, near Dereham - with people taking to social media to voice their frustration.
It is believed one angry driver eventually got out of their car to push the road sign over.
"A little bit of common sense would tell you this was creating a hazard," said Steve Morphew, Labour leader at Norfolk County Council.

"Now it has cost a lot of inconvenience, time and money to put it right.
"National Highways should know better and there should be a more joined up system with the county council for reporting hazards whatever caused them."
A spokesman for National Highways said they were unaware of the issue prior to being contacted.
He added: "We will speak to our contractors as well Norfolk County Council to establish whose sign it is and ensure it’s moved to a more appropriate location as soon as possible."
