Christmas may seem like a world away at this time of year, but plans are already being made for the festive season in one mid-Norfolk town.
Dereham Town Council has already announced early plans for its festive lights switch-on event.
The town will be illuminated from Sunday, November 26, with festivities taking place in the Market Place from 1pm.
In Church Street, families can find an array of stalls, food vendors and a fair where there will be donkey rides.
Youngsters can meet Father Christmas at the Assembly Rooms from 1.30pm.
Stage performances will start from 2pm. Last year’s event featured Busybodies Stage School, Norfolk Institute of Performing Arts, and the Dereham Theatre Company.
The main event will take place at 4.30pm with the lights being switched on.
There willl be a road closure order in place from 7am-8pm.
The top end of the High Street will be closed - with a diversion down Norwich Street, Church Street and Market Place up to the traffic lights just past Ruthen Place at the war memorial.
