Volunteers are urgently needed for a group which supports people with Parkinson’s in and around Fakenham and Wells-next-the-Sea.
Parkinson’s UK’s network support officer Lisa Lowe said: “The Fakenham and Wells Support Group is a lifeline in the local area for those affected by Parkinson’s, but unless new volunteers step forward people could be left without the support they need.
“If you can spare a few hours a month we’d love you to volunteer alongside the amazing people who are part of this group - with your support, we really can change lives.”
The group co-ordinator oversees group activities and is suited to someone who is well-organised.
The treasurer is responsible for managing, recording, and reporting on group financial activity.
The group’s ‘cuppa and chat’ cafés are open to anyone affected by Parkinson’s. Fakenham meet-ups are held on the first Wednesday of the month from 10.30am-midday at the Running Horse pub in Hawthorn Way.
Wells meet-ups take place on the third Wednesday of the month from 10.30am-midday at Coastal Health and Wellbeing - formerly Wells Community Hospital in Mill Road.
