An infant school has become the latest to join a rapidly growing network of academies.
Dereham Church of England Infant and Nursery has become the 40th school in the region to join the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust.
And to mark the occasion, its pupils have been allowed to design it a band new logo to reflect its transition.
Chloe Cole, its acting headteacher, said: "We are very excited to have joined DNEAT.
"Being part of DNEAT will enable our children to access a range of further opportunities.
"Children in Year 2 spent time in class reflecting on their school values, what their school is most proud of and what lies at the heart of the school curriculum in order to design the new school logo."
The new logo, which features a dove with an olive branch and two children holding love hearts, was designed using the ideas of Year 2 pupils Phillip and Jemima.
Oliver Burwood, chief executive of DNEAT, said: "We are excited as the school team are to have them on board."
