The decision to bring back an outdoor cinema hailed as a roaring success has been delayed.
At Dereham Town Council’s heritage and open spaces committee on November 28, councillors deferred a request from councillor Stuart Green over the cinema day's return to 2024.
Mr Green spearheaded last year’s Dereham Town Council event, which saw a triple film screening hosted at Fleece Meadow - behind the Memorial Hall in Norwich Street - on August 19.
The screening cost £2,000-£3,000, excluding staff time, and the council was told another screening could not happen until April next year at the earliest.
Mr Green said he is not sure when the request will come before the committee again, but believes it's likely to be in the new year before a decision is made.
Mr Green said: “We will provide more detail, such as looking at costs, on what we will do, and how we will do it. I hope to put on an even better event next year.”
