A Dereham barbershop is once again offering free cuts on Christmas Day.
Brian Cuddihy, who runs Dads & Lads in Cherry Tree Car Park, said the offer is a non-judgemental free haircut to whoever needs it on December 25.
Starting in the Christmas of 2018, but pausing during the pandemic, over the last few years Mr Cuddihy has extended the offering to everyone who wants it.
“For a bloke and two kids it is £30 for haircuts, that is a Christmas meal for a family,” he said.
“Why wouldn’t you offer this to people, I have the chance to do something for those who need it.
“Some people stay for a little while after their cuts and just have a chat and a laugh, I honestly love it, it's the best day of the year.”
Since he announced the free cuts on his Facebook page, the Liverpudlian has been offered roast dinners from those who are thankful for his offering.
Another local business is also providing mince pies and other items on the day to anyone who comes in.
Mr Cuddihy has also said he will provide festive refreshments for anyone who joins him on Christmas morning.
He has stressed again that this offering was not about promoting the business but letting people know that this offer is there.
“This is not a gimmick, or for advertising, it's just to offer it to whoever needs it," he added.
"There is no reason behind it, I do it because I can."
Dads & Lads opened in Dereham back in 1997.
Mr Cuddihy was going to set up shop in Berkshire but, after his car broke down in Dereham during a trip to the county he fell in love with the town.
The shop will be open on the morning of December 25 from 8.30am to 12pm.
