A Norfolk village football team has been given a boost after receiving a grant to buy essential equipment.
Mattishall Under 13s Football Club is using a £300 grant from UK Power Networks to finance training aids like mannequins, mini goals, cones and bibs.
The U13s team finished 7th in last season's Norfolk FA division's premier league.
Assistant coach Tom Wall, an overhead linesperson with the granting company, expressed his gratitude.
He said: "This is absolutely brilliant, as a fairly small club we struggle to get the money to buy new equipment.
"This scheme has allowed us to do so with no issues at all.
"We aim to take this group we have right from the age now to first team adults football."
Similarly, head coach Will Tyler praised UK Power Networks.
Mr Tyler said: "I'm over the moon.
"Massive thank you to UK Power Networks for helping us get the training equipment we have been needing to help our group progress as a team and enhance their abilities."
The grant came as part of the company's Team Sport Award scheme.
