A meeting held to improve the lives of families living in poor conditions at a Norfolk army barracks has been described as "productive".
The meeting took place after it was found that some families residing at Robertson Barracks in Swanton Morley were living in "substandard conditions".
Robertson Barracks is home to the 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards.
Roger Atterwill, a Breckland councillor and chairman of the Swanton Morley Parish Council, said: "The meeting held with 1st QDG welfare captain was productive.
"Breckland's Inspiring Communities team is currently working on some tailored support for them."
In May, emergency funding was given to the families living in the barracks to alleviate their circumstances.
Mr Atterwill had said in a report to a council meeting that some of the homes were suffering from poor insulation, mouldy bathrooms and outdated storage heaters that were "very inefficient to run".
Mr Atterwill, along with Breckland Council and Swanton Morley Parish Council, also helped the families with groceries.
The barracks has also been targeted to be redeveloped into a new community, with plans for 2,000 homes currently being considered.
