A Norfolk doctor's surgery is hoping to go green with the installation of solar panels on its roof.
Elmham Surgery, near Dereham, has submitted a prior approval application to install 66 solar panels on its roof.
The surgery is located on Holt Road in North Elmham.
It is proposed that the solar panels be installed on the front elevation of the main surgery.
In the application, it was said that Elmham Surgery has "a sound business case for needing a new sustainable energy installation".
It continued: "The solar panel installation would reduce the building’s overall running costs and associated business overheads.
"This would assist in guaranteeing the continued operation of a much relied upon local medical facility."
It also added that the installation of the solar panels would not be unique to the village, which is situated within the North Elmham Conservation Area, as other properties have done similar work.
The application said: "The benefits presented would not be outweighed by adverse impacts."
