A bid to turn a disused agricultural barn into houses has been lodged.
The plans, which are still in the early stage of the application, outline how a large barn in Whinburgh, near Dereham, could become houses.
Mr and Mrs Robson, the applicants, submitted an application to Breckland Council to see if prior approval is required to change the use of the agricultural building, off Shop Street, into homes.
The applicants' plans, if full planning is submitted and approved, could see the old barn transformed into four houses with a "longitudinal design".
Wincer Kievenaar Architects, on behalf of the applicant, said: "The conversion of the barn into four dwellings will create long dwellings spanning from east to west with living, dining and garden spaces located to the west of the barn, which will benefit from direct light in the evenings.
"The dwellings will vary between two types that respond to different constraints based on the permeation of natural light and longitudinal design."
It added the design was selected so as not to harm the front of the barn.
