A school in Swanton Morley has been challenged to bring stories to life.
Swanton Morley Primary School participated in Annington's Reading Challenge and was visited by a storyteller from Epic Tales Storytelling.
This initiative by Annington aims to encourage more children to enjoy reading.
The primary school, which is located near Annington's Worthing Fields homes, is the second school in the area to take part in the challenge.
Five primary schools near Annington's home locations participated in this reading programme.
With the help of storyteller Chip Colquhoun from Epic Tales, pupils enjoyed an afternoon workshop and were treated to three stories, including one about a young boy named Boot who outsmarted a troll.
The class teacher played the troll, and the children enjoyed squirting her with water to defeat the beast.
Annington donated an array of books to encourage the children to read at least one book over the summer holidays.
Stacy Whitehead, marketing manager at Annington, said: "The Annington Reading Challenge has been a wonderful opportunity for us to get involved right at the heart of the communities that we work in.
"We wanted to help inject a bit of fun into the idea of picking up a book, and to inspire the children to go out and read more. "
Lucy Haynes, class teacher at Swanton Morley Primary School, said: “Nurturing a love for literature is something we always want to focus on across the school.
"The Reading Challenge really helped us to spark a conversation about why reading is so important and how fun and exciting it can be. "
Annington is refurbishing former Ministry of Defence homes at Worthing Fields in Swanton Morley, with prices starting from £180,000.
They have also released homes at The Oaks in nearby Watton, with prices starting from £235,000.
