About 150 football fans came out to pay respect to two club stalwarts.
Dereham Town supporters gathered at Aldiss Park on October 1 to witness two football matches in memory of Colin Wright and Mike Baldry and raised around £3,000 for two cancer charities.
Dereham Town U10s played a five-a-side match as both Colin and Mike were heavily involved in youth football and instrumental in helping Dereham Town FC what it is today.
Then, two teams made up of over 40 Dereham Town players managed by Paul Jarvis and Paul Sandford, took on former chairman and player Tim Warner, as the Dereham Old Boys took on the club's Old Stars.
A lively start soon turned into a leisurely stroll as Graham Barrett gave the Old Boys a narrow half-time lead. Early in the second half Ben King equalised for the Old Stars before Troy Bond restored the lead for the Old Boys.
The lead was then increased by Howard Duff. A late rally from the Old Stars resulted in a goal from Gary Starling and the score 3-2 to make the last five minutes interesting, but Troy Bond tapped in for Old Boys making the final score Old Boys 4 - Old Stars 2.
Colin's son Andrew and grandson Josh both graced the Old Boys team as did Mike's son Stuart.
But the real winner was the amount raised - in the region of £3000 for Dereham Cancer Care and Big C Norfolk.
Nick Starling, who helped organise the event, said: “The day was a tremendous success, it was good for everyone to catch up not only to remember Colin and Mike but to talk about old times.
“The players certainly enjoyed the game and had a good chat before and after the game. There might be some stiff joints this morning.
"I think Dereham Cancer Care had a good day I understand they sold out of their cakes so hopefully they generated some funds from their stall.”
